Introduction:
The n610c is
a 2.4 Ghz P4. Sometimes these units will not (initially)
start with the battery installed. Plug
in the power cord. If the laptop does
not start, remove the battery, and then press the start button one time. There is a 2 second delay for the laptop to
turn on.
XP
Install.
In order to
install XP, you have to start the computer and open the dvd/cdrw drive. Place
the XP disk in the slot firmly, and then close the drive. Press control-alt-delete to restart the
computer. XP should then automatically
load.
If XP does
not automatically load, try to restart the computer and keep pressing F9 until
you hear a “beep”. Xp
should then load. During Loading you
will be asked to format – don’t worry – just click quick format and NTFS.

WIFI

We are
providing a PCMCIA Wifi Card. It is important that you load the software
first AND THEN install the wifi card. If you install the WIFI card FIRST, then it
WON’T work. Be patient, it may take 5
minutes to load even if it seems like nothing is happening.
