What is Wiping

Wiping erases ALL of your data.  Wiping is irreversible!  After wiping, even if you were to reinstall Windows, all of your data will still be lost, gone, forever!   Wiping works for us because we don't want your data, we just want your computer clean and empty.

We use Darik's Boot and Nuke ("DBAN") because it is a self-contained boot floppy that securely wipes the hard disks of most computers.

• You can follow the directions and Boot and Nuke your hard drive
• If you Boot and Nuke yourself, don't worry, the worst thing that can happen is that you loose all of your data -- but that is what you want to do anyways!

In order to WIPE you need to install the program on a working computer.  I suggest the floppy disk version of the program.  After you install the program on any working computer, your run the program.  The program will ask you to insert a floppy disk. You click the program and it creates a floppy disk BOOT DISK.    Insert that BOOT DISK into any computer that you want to wipe.    After you insert the floppy disk into the computer you want to wipe -- turn on that computer.  The program will load.  Select autonuke  Press enter.

If the BOOT DISK does not start up, you have a BIOS issue. The BIOS must be changed for the BOOT DISK to work.  Bring the computer to us, and we will fix your BIOS and wipe your computer while you watch!

Not everyone is a techno-geek.  We realize that.  For your $12 donation, we will send you a free copy of the Wipe Disk.  Just put the floppy disk into your computer, and then turn-on the power button.
